Did you know that Europe is not as expensive as you might think? With the many great deals on airfare to various destinations in Europe, all you need to do is get an idea of what you want to see and do in Europe and you can create a budget-friendly itinerary.
Traveling by train is viable option for all travelers. Most trains offer several fares to choose from, making train travel affordable. Plus, when you take advantage of special promotions and deals you end up saving even more!
You can visit many famous tourist attractions for free, provided you do not take a guided tour of these structures. And if you do want a tour, consider some of the great hop-on, hop-off tours offered by Rail Europe.
The last thing on most to-do lists is sleeping arrangements. Well, Rail Europe now offers an array of hotels and hostels for travelers to take advantage of. But remember, sometimes if you take an overnight train, it allows you to see a bit more of Europe and helps avoid a night at a hotel.
Once you have these major trip components worked out, then you can worry about your food budget and of course, the gift/souvenir budget for all your friends & family back home, but these are minor things to consider in comparison to the rest of your planning!

Traveling by rail in Europe is a great way to save money. But for Americans who want to get there, flying is the only option. Luckily, it has become increasingly easy to find great deals on airfare to Europe. One great tip is to be flexible on your travel dates, because typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the cheapest days to fly on. Then you have more money to spend in Europe!
While flying is certainly an option more Americans are familiar with, train travel is the best way to see more of Europe. Aside from seeing more, the experience is great. You get to meet people on the train and mingle with the locals. Plus, when you travel by train, you leave from the center of a city, and arrive into the center of the city. This is not the case when you fly! The amount of travel time really depends on where you’re going. There are many high-speed train routes available throughout France, Italy, Germany and Spain. Ultimately, it comes down to what kind of traveler you are, but through the years, rail travel is the preferred way of travel in Europe.
Follow this page from your facebook post. Thanks for the article. Good day!
When it comes to travel, there are two things you can count on: (1) you’ll always find a cheaper exchange rate after you’ve traded your money, and (2) you’ll always go over budget. I don’t mean to be negative, but these are the Murphy’s Laws of travel.
Travelling by train is such a great way to get across Europe. As Europe is made up of several countries, each very separate regions by culture and language all connected by rail.
When travelling across Europe and travel on local rail providers or by national railway we got a Euro train pass (Eurail) at low cost to maximise your savings.
