Typically it is suggested to have at least 8 minutes transfer time to make it to the departure track. If you are an elderly traveler, who may travel at a slower pace, you may want to reconsider. Also, if you're traveling with a great deal of luggage, you may find yourself rushing with lots of bags, which will slow you down a tad. But, under normal circumstances, you should be able to connect with either transfer. Hope that helps!

We are comparing train routes from LaSpezia to Vaduz this year. We have 10 min to transfer in Milan, vs 12 min to transfer in Auth Goldau. I am not familiar with the stations, nor the language. Is it realistic to make the transfer in these times?

I find traveling by train saves me so much time when I go off on my mini European adventures! I'm the type of traveler who has a rough idea of what I want to see and do, but don't actually commit until I'm there. Taking trains helps me to travel in this style, simply showing up at a station and hopping on the next departure! Adding train travel into my plans is like adding an extra adventure into my itinerary, meeting new people, talking to locals, I love it all!

Traveling by train is a very nice way to travel in Europe. I am really getting used to it as you will find a train connection to every town, city or even village you would like to visit.
