This week we hosted a Twitter Chat with the French Tourism Board in the US, Atout France USA, all about taking a romantic trip to France. And the feedback we got during the chat was so fantastic that we wanted to compile and share it here so that anyone thinking about a trip to France would be able to have all of these great tips at their disposal! Spoiler alert: everyone in the chat was a huge fan of wine.

So here we go: whether you’re part of a happy couple or you’re looking for a fun solo romantic trip, these are the best #FranceRomance tips from our fans:

1. Paris is, of course, one of the most romantic cities on earth, and it offers no shortage of romantic possibilities. Here are a few of Paris’s well-kept secrets… along with a few classic favorites!

 

2. But Paris isn’t the only place for romance. Of all the different regions in France, the southern coast seemed to be a fan favorite during the chat.

 

3. No matter which region of the country you’re headed to, one thing is important: wine.

 

4. Another important thing: you can’t really go wrong with choosing a romantic meal in France.

5. And of course, there’s no denying the romance of a train ride through this beautiful country.
