“This view never gets old!” by @aladyinlondon
Lady in London, @aladyinlondon
Julie is originally from California and has been living in London since 2007. Her travels have taken her all over the world (to 100 countries!) and she posts beautiful photos that mostly focus on architecture and food. Recently her travels have taken her to The Netherlands and home to California, and when she isn’t traveling she’s posting photos of sights and adventures of daily life in London. We are quite partial to the train station photos she posts — shocking, we know.
“Long way down during the morning commute.” by @hecktictravels
Dalene and Pete Heck, @HeckticTravels
Pete and Dalene hail from Canada and make their way around the world mostly by house-sitting — in other words, they live the dream. Recently their travels have taken them through several of our favorite places in Europe, including the Czech Republic, Finland, Italy, France, and beyond. Most of the photography is done by Pete and most of the writing by Dalene, and it’s safe to say they make a very talented team. They were also named National Geographic’s Travelers of the Year in 2014.
“Four weeks from today, I’ll be on a jet plane bound for #Paris.” by @leahtravels
Leah Walker, @LeahTravels
We’ve been a fan of Leah’s for a while but we were especially thrilled to see her take over the Instagram feed for our friends at Visit France USA several weeks ago to share a few of her favorite shots of Paris. Her travels have taken her all over the world but over the past year she’s focused a lot on Europe, and especially on Paris (can’t say we blame her — is there any place more photogenic than Paris?). Leah is originally from Texas but will soon be moving to France for the near future — we anticipate many more beautiful photos to come!
“Windmill love in #Santorini, #Greece. This is the day my travel dreams came true. (I didn’t find my Stavros, though.)” by @candicewalsh
Candice Walsh, @CandiceWalsh
Candice’s photos are stunning and her captions are always entertaining. Whether she’s exploring her home country of Canada, taking a slightly spur of the moment trip to Hawaii, or preparing for a move to Berlin later this year, Candice always gives us an honest and often sassy look at the day to day life in whichever new place she’s exploring. In addition to running her blog she’s also an editor at Matador Network.
“You can find churches everywhere in #Bavaria – even in the middle of a forest!” by @laurel_robbins
Laurel Robbins, @Laurel_Robbins
Laurel is a Canadian traveler who met a German man during a trip to Costa Rica and moved to Munich with him to enjoy life as an expat. Safe to say she’s living the dream, no? Her Instagram feed is currently full of delightful wintery images of Munich and the Bavarian region, and her photos give us a glimpse of the Munich that goes beyond Oktoberfest and Christmas markets. She’s also featured on BBC’s feed as their Munich expert. Read more on her blog, Monkeys and Mountains.
“Looking out over Ljubljana from atop its castle #Slovenia” by @packsandbunks
Neil Barnes, @PacksAndBunks
Unlike many travel bloggers, Neil doesn’t travel full time. He works a 9 to 5 job in finance and his blog is his creative outlet for all of the trips he fits in during his vacation time. Recently he was snowboarding in France and enjoying a few beers in Dublin — and when he isn’t traveling you can find informative and often humorous posts about day to day life and weekend adventures in London, where he is based.
“I got to see the magic of the Northern Lights out in the deep Arctic wilderness, from one of these spectacular, cosy Glass Igloos. Designed so you can watch the Northern Lights all night long in comfort, my stay in one of these futuristic masterpieces at the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Inari-Saariselkä remains one of my Finnish #Lapland highlights. Still in awe.” by @bordersofadventure
Becki Enright, @BordersOfAdventure
Becki focuses on lesser known destinations — including many that are thought to be controversial or dangerous — as well as sustainable and thoughtful travel. The European cities she’s crossed off her list include Finland, France, Germany, and most recently Greece, where she is currently based. Her stunning photography captures everything from landscapes to portraits to delicious food, and we love that she travels so consciously and holds nothing back in her blog posts. You can read more about her on her blog.
